Hair Masks
When conditioner is not enough, give your hair extra care. Milva masks help nourish, smooth and strengthen dry, damaged or weakened hair.
Choose a mask with quinine, caffeine, almond or peach oil, or Huma, depending on what your hair needs. Use it regularly on the lengths and ends.

A hair mask does not have to mean heavy or greasy hair
Hair masks are often associated with very rich care that can make fine hair look flat or become greasy more quickly. Milva masks, however, are designed as lighter complementary care that nourishes, hydrates and softens the hair lengths without unnecessarily weighing them down.
They are suitable for hair that is difficult to detangle, dry, stressed, coloured or prone to breakage. When the right amount is used, the lengths remain soft, smoother and naturally lightweight.
What can regular use of a hair mask do for your hair?
More softness
A mask helps soften dry and rough hair lengths so they feel more pleasant to the touch and look smoother.
Easier detangling
A smoother hair surface means less catching and pulling during brushing, which helps reduce mechanical damage and breakage.
Hydration and nourishment
Masks complement regular care for the lengths and help hair that has been dried out by colouring, heat styling, sun exposure or everyday stress.
Lightweight feel
When applied correctly, the aim is not to coat the hair in a heavy layer of product. The care should soften and nourish the lengths while preserving their natural movement.
Which mask should you choose?
Quinine + almond oil
Suitable for weakened, drier and stressed hair lengths. Almond oil complements care for softness and flexibility, while quinine fits into Milva's regular care routine for weakened hair.
Caffeine + peach oil
Nourishing care for hair that needs more softness, smoothness and care for drier lengths. Peach oil complements the formula with lightweight nourishment without leaving the hair feeling unnecessarily greasy.
Do you need a conditioner, a mask or both?
Conditioner
It is a basic step after regular hair washing. It helps smooth and soften the lengths and prepares them for easier detangling.
Mask
It is a more intensive care step. It is especially suitable when hair needs more hydration and nourishment or is dry, stressed or damaged.
You do not need to use both at the same time after every wash. You can use conditioner regularly and add a mask according to your hair's needs, approximately once or twice a week.
How to use a mask without weighing your hair down?
Wash your hair
Rinse out the shampoo thoroughly and gently squeeze excess water from the hair.
Use a small amount
Start with a smaller amount and add more only if needed. More product does not automatically mean a better result.
Apply to the lengths
Focus mainly on the mid-lengths and ends. If your hair is fine or becomes oily quickly, do not apply the mask to the roots.
Leave it on
Follow the recommended application time stated on the specific product so the mask has enough time to work.
Rinse thoroughly
After rinsing, the hair should feel soft and easy to detangle, not heavy or greasy.
Can I use a mask if I have fine or quickly oily hair?
Yes. Fine hair often does not need less care – it simply needs the right amount. Use a smaller amount of mask and apply it only to the lengths and ends.
If your roots become oily quickly, there is no need to completely skip nourishment for the hair lengths. The scalp and hair lengths can have completely different needs.
Is once a week enough?
For most hair types, using a mask approximately once a week is suitable. Dry, coloured, bleached or heavily stressed hair may use it more often as needed.
If you have fine hair, start with one application per week and observe how your hair responds. Properly chosen care should soften the hair, not take away its volume.
Where does a mask fit into your hair care routine?
Shampoo
Cleanses the scalp and roots. Choose it mainly according to your scalp type and your main hair concern.
Mask
Provides more intensive care for the lengths and ends. Use it according to your hair's needs, usually once or twice a week.
Conditioner
It can be a regular part of your washing routine to soften the hair and make detangling easier.
Hair tonic
Unlike a mask, it is applied to the roots and scalp if it is part of your hair care routine.
When your hair needs more than just washing
Shampoo cleans the hair. A mask is the moment when you can focus on the hair lengths themselves – their softness, hydration, nourishment and protection from unnecessary breakage.
And that is exactly why a hair mask does not have to be heavy. A properly chosen and correctly used mask can give your hair the care it needs while preserving its lightness and natural movement.
